General
Photobiomodulation (PBM) is the use of specific wavelengths of light and electromagnetic frequencies to stimulate healing at the cellular level. It's non-invasive, painless, and backed by a growing body of research in neurology, sports medicine, and integrative health.
• PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy) — delivers low-frequency electromagnetic pulses that penetrate deep into tissue, helping to reduce inflammation, restore cellular energy (ATP production), and calm an overactivated nervous system. Think of it as a reset signal for your cells.
• Near-Infrared Light (NIR) — uses invisible light wavelengths (750–1200nm) that penetrate beneath the skin to support mitochondrial function, reduce oxidative stress, and promote tissue repair. Particularly effective for brain health and nervous system recovery.
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive modality designed to support nervous system regulation and may be beneficial for individuals experiencing mild sleep disturbances, such as occasional difficulty falling asleep or stress-related sleep disruption. By promoting improved brainwave patterns and relaxation, neurofeedback may assist in enhancing overall sleep quality in these limited contexts.
However, neurofeedback is not a substitute for medical evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment of clinically significant sleep disorders. It is not intended to treat or cure conditions such as sleep apnea, chronic insomnia, or other complex or medically-based sleep disorders. These conditions require comprehensive assessment and management by a qualified healthcare provider, which may include medical intervention, behavioral therapy, or other evidence-based treatments.
Individuals experiencing persistent, severe, or worsening sleep issues should seek guidance from a licensed medical professional or sleep specialist. Use of neurofeedback for sleep-related concerns should be considered complementary and appropriate only for mild cases, and not as a primary or standalone treatment for serious sleep disorders.
